Allen C. Paul, pianist, educator and author, began learning the piano at the age of 3, taught by his mother, an elementary music teacher. A graduate of the University of Miami School of Music in Jazz Piano, he has since performed both locally and internationally, working closely with myriad top-tier artists as a musical director and accompanist. He has worked with and appeared on stage with artists such as Miki Howard, Betty Wright, Raheem Devaughn, Jaguar Wright, Mike Phillips, Rhonda Thomas, Anthony David, Algebra Blessett, Chantae Cann and many others. He also worked in theater alongside award winning singer and actor Chestor Gregory in his hit musical “The Eve of Jackie” in 2017.
His original trio project, the jazz fusion band “Unclazzified”, performed at the Port-au-Prince International Jazz Festival in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 2015. He currently performs, writes and teaches privately in South Florida.
"My thought... was to see and listen to Allen Paul, who is a long-time favorite. His imaginative solos alone, are worth the price of admission."
- Allen Kanovsky, Jazz and Blues Florida (Jul 30, 2013)
"Thomas chose his band well: pianist Allen C. Paul, bassist Kurt Hengstebeck, and drummer Ludwig Alfonso. They neither detract from or limit the steel panorama jazz that exists in Thomas’ expansive, poetic vision. Every element is in its proper place, the drummer signs off his pronounced beats in statuesque, harmonic form, the pianist springs forth his own flurry of like-minded emotions, and the bassist shadows and punches the ebb and flow naturally."

"The Most Beautiful Thing was co-written by Denise Rich (established songwriter/philanthropist but also known for presenting Bill Clinton with the controversial saxophone)! Alan Paul once again provides a soothing arrangement for Ruth Ann’s sensitive playing."
