Frankie Sorci

Frankie started playing piano at the age of four, had his first group at the age of 13, and was considered a working professional at the age of 15. Frankie Played music with Gene Thorpe and the “Yellow Submarine”, and the guitar, keyboard, and drum trio placed in the battle of the bands at the California State Fair. Nightclubs were on the agenda by 18, and with the help of a penciled in moustache, he was able to gain entrance to most of the clubs in the Sacramento area. His First “Road Job” was at 19, playing the Dude Ranch at 29 Palms, California. Frankie had caught ROAD FEVER! By the age of 21, he had become a full time Road Musician, playing the Nevada circuit and staying on the road for the next 13 years. Frankie's professional career began in the Nevada Circuit with Sandy Knox, Frankie Fannelli, and Richie Barron and the Mob, but he quickly graduated to playing every corner of the United States. from Seattle to Santa Monica, Buffalo to Marco Beach, Toronto to Scottsdale; working with groups of new , old, fame, and none, and it was all fun! after working the Kings Cup in Fairbanks Alaska, Frankie joined up with Donny Conn in Santa Monica to reform “The Playmates”; a fifties group with three million selling albums, and notable singles such as “Beep Beep’ and “Joann”. The Playmates became a major show group signed with the Morris Agency, and were then managed by Kevin Hunter. The Playmates were eventually resigned with Joe Zito in Las Vegas, and worked the circuit along with Ann Margaret, Frank Sinatra Jr., Nancy Sinatara, The Mob, Society of Seven and Gino Vanelli. Frankie then moved to Seattle and started Sweet Thing to play the northwest area for the Unicam Agency, (Jim Smith), who then joined forces with Bob Brown to develop the Performance Band. From there, Frankie joined the reformed Zaras Group from Madrid Spain, whose claim to fame was being part of the group that recorded "Eres Tu", a worldwide hit record. This funky, piano genius has been there and back again, and shows no signs of slowing. His funk has an earthy, dirty, rawness that is always going to bring the house down. frankie now resides in Sacramento, california.
