Marlina Teich
San Francisco based Marlina Teich is a vocalist and guitarist specializing in swing, show tunes and jazz standards. Originally from New York, Marlina sings and plays the music of Nat King Cole, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, to name a few.
Marlina has performed internationally at Sandals resorts in Jamaica; wineries in Sonoma County, California; hotels, such as Ben Swig’s Penthouse Suite at the Fairmont Hotel for the Italian Consulate; various clubs, private parties and restaurants. She did a California prison tour in the 1980s with a jazz band and was a music instructor at San Quentin prison. She has done studio work for radio commercials.
Marlina has played with a variety of musicians at one point or another including: Richie Cole, Eddie Henderson, Jimmy Knepper, Ron Crotty, Jules Broussard, Larry Hancock, Yolanda Nichols, Juanita Ellington, Art Washington, Bishop Norman Williams, and others.
Marlina can provide solo, small combo to larger band music. She respects volume levels and wishes to make your event and/or dining experience memorable, personable and thoroughly satisfying.
