Max Marinaio

Compositore, chitarrista, cantante iscritto alla SIAE sin dal '90. Attualmente compone ed arrangia i propri brani scrivendo tutte le parti strumentali (contrabbasso, piano, strumenti a fiato e quant'altro).
Inizia a suonare sin da piccolo formandosi sulla chitarra classica come autoditatta e sviluppando uno stile ed un tocco personali. Poco interessato all'aspetto puramente performativo inizia ben presto a comporre materiale proprio sia sulla chitarra che su una pianola elettrica sostanzialmente blues, soul, bossanova e canzoni jazz.
Crea la prima band a 22 anni ma dedica del tempo a imparare la scrittura musicale per iscriversi alla SIAE e proteggere i propri brani.
Negli anni 90 crea il proprio sistema midi che gli consente di sviluppare le proprie doti di arrangiatore.
Inizia a pubblicare nei primi anni 2000. Nel 2005 Fonda i Flying Cats con cui arriva alla finale del Pistoia Blues In.
Nel 2008 acquista un basso semiacustico che usa soprattutto nelle registrazioni in studio.

Molto versato anche nell'uso delle tecnologie ha creato un suo studio privato (Nautilus Studio) in cui cura personalmente tutte le fasi della produzione: dalla registrazione all'editing, al missaggio al mastering. Personaggio molto aperto anche verso i giovani, con una capacità innata di creare ed amalgamare gruppi di lavoro. Ama le collaborazioni soprattutto con cantanti, contrabbassisti e suonatori di strumenti a fiato.

Nelle sue composizioni oltre a contrabbasso e pianoforte, usa frequentemente la tromba con sordina harmon, il vibrafono, il clarinetto, il sax. Esse spaziano dalla canzone jazz, blues, al swing al be bop e jazz strumentale per piccoli ensamble. Ha collaborato con la cantante jazz di Saronno Irene Di Vilio (anche insegnante) e con la bresciana Lara Quaranta. Con il sassofonista Graziano Benassi e svariati altri musicisti.

Composer, guitarist, singer registered with the SIAE since '90. Currently he composes and arranges his own songs by writing all the instrumental parts (double bass, piano, wind instruments and so on).
He began playing from an early age by training himself on the classical guitar as a self-taught and developing a personal style and touch. Little interested in the purely performative aspect, he soon began to compose his own material both on the guitar and on an electric piano, essentially blues, soul, bossa nova and jazz songs.
He creates his first band at 22 but takes the time to learn music writing to join the SIAE and protect his songs.
In the 90s he created his own midi system which allowed him to develop his skills as an arranger.
He begins to publish in the early 2000s. In 2005 he founded the Flying Cats with which he reached the final of the Pistoia Blues In.
In 2008 he bought a semi-acoustic bass which he used mainly in studio recordings.

Very well versed in the use of technologies, he has created his own private studio (Nautilus Studio) in which he personally takes care of all stages of production: from recording to editing, mixing to mastering. Character also very open to young people, with an innate ability to create and amalgamate work groups. He loves collaborations especially with singers, double bass players and wind instrument players.

In his compositions, in addition to double bass and piano, he frequently uses the trumpet with muted harmon, the vibraphone, the clarinet, the sax. They range from jazz, blues, swing to be bop and instrumental jazz for small ensembles. He collaborated with the jazz singer of Saronno Irene Di Vilio (also a teacher) and with the Brescia Lara Quaranta. With saxophonist Graziano Benassi and several other musicians.
