About Me

Musician (bassist, composer and arranger) active on the Jazz, World Music and Pop/Rock scenes. Graduated in 1994 at Uni-Rio Conservatory, I currently play bass for brazilian popular singer/songwriter/guitarist Frejat (alongside whom I've been playing since 2001), for world-famous Brazilian singer/composer Ivan Lins and for Brazilian singer Simone. I lead my own Bicho Músico (translates to “Music Beast”) band supporting my latest album “Bicho Músico”, as well as the “Notre Jam” jazz quartet. Other projects I spearheaded in recent years are: the compositional project 8VB, the 11-piece ensemble 11 Cabecas (with saxophonist/arranger Henrique Band) and Weather Forecast (a Weather Report tribute group). My credits on both recording sessions and tours (either national tours of Brazil - and/or international tours of Europe and the USA) include: Milton Nascimento, Simone & Ivan Lins, Marcos Valle, Ana Carolina, Maria Gadu, Lokua Kanza, Lulu Santos, Barao Vermelho, Lobao, Leoni, Paulinho Moska, Martinho da Vila, Serjao Loroza, Vander Lee, Orlando Morais, Fernanda Abreu, LiberTango, Orquestra Popular, Quito Pedrosa Quarteto, AC Jazz, Barrosinho & Maracatamba, Julio Barbosa, Ricardo Leao, Antonio Saraiva, Orquestra de Musica Brasileira, among others. I Work as a bassist (playing both electric and acoustic basses), arranger , composer and musical producer.
