Jeff Kaliss has, for an impressive stretch of time, been writing about various forms of music and entertainment for a variety or Bay Area regional, national, international, and web-based publications. He's also an MFA candidate in Creative Writing at San Francisco State University.

I was initiated into jazz by Joe Pilati, my dorm mate and fellow journalist on our college paper, the Boston University News.
