About Me

Jenny Morris was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota and grew up with a love for classic jazz.

She recorded her first album (”All The Things You Are”) with her brother, guitarist Edward Morris.

She has sung all over North America, cities including Chicago, Memphis, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Nashville and Winnipeg.

She has recently teamed up with the incredibly talented pianist and guitarist Ken Takata to form the new Twin Cities based jazz duo, “Miss Otis' Ghost”. You can find them on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

Jenny Morris is also an actress, having performed on stage and screen, and has been nominated for leading and supporting roles.

My Jazz Story

I love jazz because... Nothing moves me more. I was first exposed to jazz... My dad. He was a great piano player and had his own band back in the day. I met ... Roy Orbison, Alex Fiterstein, Roger McGuinn The best show I ever attended was... Roger McGuinn had the most amazing show. Just him and his guitars and completely mesmerizing. The first jazz record I bought was... Peggy Lee, Black Coffee. She's my home girl!
