Mr. P.C.
Inspired by the cutting edge advice of Abigail Van Buren, the storied bass playing of Paul Chambers, and the need for a Politically Correct doctrine for navigating the minefields of jazz etiquette, I humbly offer my services.
About Me
Throughout my life, whenever I've found myself confounded by an unforeseen obstacle, I've found solace and direction from three spiritual forces:
The all-knowing and unerring Personal Consultants, led by Abigail Van Buren, Judith Martin, and Emily Post, pillars of truth and wisdom;
The deep, soul-stirring swing of Paul Chambers, particularly his definitive late 1950s work with John Coltrane;
The creative, comprehensive and unwavering theology of Political Correctness.
It was inevitable that I would someday meld these defining influences into my own spiritual vision. I was reborn, and with a new name, divinely inspired: Mr. P.C..
Aided by my literary mentor and fellow Seattleite, Bill Anschell, I'm dedicated to sharing this P.C. worldview with my jazz brethren. I seek no more than to be a vessel, so the guiding light of my inspirational forces might pour through me and illuminate the path to proper jazz decorum for all.
