Nikos Koulouris, mostly known for his passionate Saxophone performances, is a Saxophonist - Professor of Saxophone, Music Producer and Composer based in Athens, Greece. As an educator, he has been a distinguished professor of Saxophone at the “National Conservatory” of Greece since 2005 and at “Phillipos Nakas Conservatory” since 2018.
He has been teaching both Classical and Modern-Jazz Saxophone. As a music soloist he has performed in Theatrical Performances, as well as in clubs, live stages, auditoriums. He has performed in concerts with the “Big Band” and the “Symphonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens”. He has also performed with the all-time Classic Pop singer of Olympians, PASXALIS Arvanitidis, and the famous American Pop, Soul singer-performer, Julie Mascino. In October 2013 he founded "The Groove Attack Big Band". Together, they released two singles with FmRecords, “polles fores” and “since you want it” (afou to thes), both covers of Manolis Xiotis’ songs.
Nikos’s personal discography though was launched in 2011 with his debut EP “dare to dream”. In 2013 he Released his new single, "Shine on me" with FmRecords, produced by Aural Fragment, featuring Maria Morris in vocals. In 2016 he released his inspired cover of Cindy Loper’s “Time After Time”, as well as an Album devoted to the music of “Bregovic”, both released from FmRecords. In 2017 a new album came out covering the music of Simon Kouskounis, “Whisper Not”, and in 2018 he released an EP with four covers of the famous Greek Retro Song “As erxosoun gia ligo”. The song became immediately a hit in all clubs and DJ playlists after it was remixed by Pantelis Kotakis, most widely known as “D.J. Pantelis”. In July 2020 Nikos produced and released “One Moment in Time”, a full album covering his favourite songs from the 80s and 90s as well as new material of his, exploring the boundaries of music in different genres. The album has a Smooth jazz or “pop touch” but Nikos isn’t afraid of getting experimental and break down those boundaries on occasion,...
