Shao-Ju Chin
Immersed in the rich traditions of church music from an early age, Shao-Ju gravitated toward the guitar during his teenage years—initially exploring its acoustic nuances. It wasn’t until he discovered the virtuosic stylings of Joe Pass that he truly embarked on a journey into the vibrant world of jazz. In 2007, he took a pivotal step by enrolling at the Musicians Institute, and upon graduating, he wholeheartedly dedicated himself to a lifelong career in music. After many fulfilling years as a sideman—absorbing the intricacies of collaborative performance—his creative spirit compelled him to forge his own unique path. In 2020, he proudly unveiled his debut album, Comfort Voicings, a heartfelt exploration of acoustic guitar sounds, and in 2024, he introduced his second album, Melancholic Flow, a modern and evocative sonic adventure.
