Stephanie Lottermoser

Stephanie Lottermoser is a German saxophonist, singer, composer and bandleader, she lives in Hamburg where she moved to in 2018 after living in Munich and Paris.

In her music and her six solo albums she is painting pictures of society, individuals and situations, often very personally. Being close to her audience is always very important to her and she manages to create an intimate setting on club stages as well as at large festivals and to take the audience with her into her musical world.

In doing so, she has always remained true to herself and her own artistic and personal development very consistently and beyond musical trends and expectations. Her love for soul jazz and groove music is always clearly audible, but her sound goes far beyond that and also integrates traditional jazz, acid jazz, funk, pop and minimal music into an exciting soundscape.

She is now one of the most renowned jazz artists in Germany and has been playing successful concert tours in clubs and at festivals for many years. Most recently, she opened the main stage of the ELBJAZZ Festival Hamburg in 2022 in front of around 11,000 jazz fans and was invited to South India for some concerts. She has also provided musical accompaniment for a number of beCAUSE agency events, including Jane Godall's 75th birthday and for the food banks Germany.

She studied cultural sciences at the LMU in Munich and jazz saxophone at the HMTM Munich, received a Bavarian art prize, a scholarship for the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris and teaches regularly as a lecturer at the Bavarian State Youth Jazz Orchestra. In Hamburg she has been hosting the podcast JAZZ MOVES SCHNACK since 2020 and is a member of the board of the Jazzbüro Hamburg e.V.

As a host, she also accompanied the presentation of the Kurt Maas Jazz Award in Munich as well as the release event of the Jazz City Sampler Hamburg and the JAZZ OPEN Festival Hamburg.
