Masha Stepina

In 2002 Masha came to The Netherlands and started to study piano with Johan Clement. During her 4 years studying jazz piano she played some very interesting projects with Rotterdam Conservatory Big-Band, Brazilian Electro and Lilian Wiera, Rio-Plata and others. After getting bachelor degree in 2006 Masha entered Tilburg Conservatory as post-graduated student where she is studying now with Rob van Bavel, Kris Goessens, Jeroen van Vliet, Randal Corsen and Rob van den Broek. Masha has attended masterclasses with John Taylor, Barry Harris,Harold Danko, Antonio Farat, Mike Garson. She has also taken latin and argentinian piano lessons. During 2004-2006 Masha has been working as an accompanist if the jazz singers department in the Rotterdam Conservatory. Since 2007 Masha is accompanist at the Dance Academy of Rotterdam. She was playing with different musicians and formations as follows: Masha Stepina Trio, MashaRom Duo, Dizzy Jazz Orchestra, Neco Novellas, classical duo piano and violin, piano and chello, piano and flute, theater projects, solo piano. Masha has performed in the different halls as: De Doelen, Dizzy, Schiecentrale,Bibliotheektheater of Rotterdam, Masslaus Theater, Kunsthal, Stedelijk Museum in Schiedam, jazz clubs( Dordecht, Rotterdam, Gouda), MuseumNacht of Rotterdam, Dordrecht Festival,Wereld jazz Dagen festival. Since spring 2006 Masha formed new trio with Wim Essed and Soto Ntouvas
