The Cordovox Project
David Polido, the force behind The Cordovox Project, was born in Lisbon in 1961. His lifelong love affair with music ignited in his formative years, captivated by the sounds of iconic bands like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and The Kinks found in his older brother's record collection.
Initially drawn to drums, David's musical aspirations faced challenges due to life's hardships. Undeterred, he took the path of self-learning. In the late '90s, he embarked on forming a blues band, a venture that remained confined to the rehearsal studio. However, his unwavering passion steered him toward music production, leading him to immerse himself in the world of Cubase.
In 2006, David's dedication bore fruit with the release of his debut album, "About Time." Crafted entirely from samples and construction kits, adorned with his touch of synthesizers, it marked his initial foray into the music scene. Despite a 16-year hiatus, he made a triumphant return to music production with "Homemade Style" and subsequently unveiled "Second Coming" at the close of 2022.
The resurgence of creativity led to the swift release of his third album, aptly named "III," in February 2023. David's versatility and passion extended beyond his solo endeavors, with notable production contributions to albums for different artists, yielding praise and commendable feedback. Additionally, his rhythmic prowess graced the soundtrack of a theater play, showcasing his drumming finesse on two tracks.
At present, David has unveiled his fourth album, "Reflections," while simultaneously channeling his energies into the creation of two forthcoming albums. One of these ventures involves collaborative efforts with other artists, promising a rich amalgamation of diverse musical talents. Scheduled for release next year, both albums signify yet another chapter in his ever-evolving musical odyssey.
Beyond his solo endeavors, David's past as a former DJ echoes through his present as he currently hosts three radio shows, adding another dimension to his multifaceted musical presence.

I like guitar and saxophone parts It really grows on you. The intro didn't grab me too much but then all the different instruments and themes started to come in, firstly one at a time, and then as more of an ensemble.
