Tracking Client Coverage at All About Jazz
All About Jazz has taken tracking client coverage to the next level. We also made every aspect of managing and servicing our writers a snap. Recent improvements are extensive, so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions.
Searching For Client Articles and News Announcements
We added a "by Publicity Firm" option to both our News and Article search. In this example, selecting "DL Media" and clicking Find will return all articles about current DL Media clients.
Find Your Publicity Firm Page
To find your publicity firm's page, go to jazznearyou.com, click SEARCH, click the Directory tab, enter the first few letters of your company's name, select it and click Go. This will take you to a search results page where you can click the link to access your page.
Get to Know Your Publicity Firm Page
From your publicity firm page, you can access your news announcements, your clients, client coverage and your All About Jazz record service recipients.
Your News Announcements
Under the News tab, you’ll find your announcements posted to the All About Jazz News Center.
Manage Musician and Business Clients
Under the Clients tab, click the green article icon to access articles about your clients. You can also remove clients by clicking the trash can icon.
Add or Remove a Musician Client
You can add musician clients from your page by clicking the "Add A Musician Client" button. When adding, enter the first few letters of the musician's name, select it from the list the click ADD.
Accessing Client Coverage
Under the Clients Coverage tab, you’ll find our most recent coverage.
Staff member coverage and contact
Under the Service Recipients tab, you’ll find the All About Jazz writers who you service with promotional material or arrange concert coverage. You can access a writer’s article archive, contact them or follow them.
Your Publicity Firm Settings Form
You control what information appears on your page primarily from your publicity firm page update form. Just click the blue button.
You’ll want to ensure your page is current and complete by adding your logo, address, links, etc., but for this tutorial we’ll focus on client tracking and record service management.
The first section, labeled “All About Jazz Record Service Recipients” allows you to add or subtract All About Jazz writers who you service. Once you select a writer, you can quickly access their written archive from your publicity firm page.
If a writer no longer contributes to All About Jazz, either you or AAJ’s publisher can remove them.
You can identify a writer’s music format preference: CD/Vinyl or Digital.
We also provide a free-form text box for notes about our writers. The information on your update form is visible to you only.
Add your business clients (e.g. record labels, venues, festivals, etc.) by entering then in the appropriate box. When you do, you'll gain access to related articles under the Client Coverage tab and via a news or article search.
